Glenn Raymond Hilbig

Glenn Hilbig, age 72, passed away on November 25, 2021 in Austin, Tx.

Glenn was born in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1949, the ninth child of Sylvester Jacob and Clara Kadura Hilbig.  He grew up in Austin, served in the Air Force and retired from the State of Texas.  He enjoyed family poker games and getting together with his brothers and sisters, but his all time favorite pastime was bowling.  He became an avid bowler and was quite good at it.

Glenn is survived by his sister Clara Hilbig Klinkovsky and her husband Albert, brothers Stanley Hilbig, Robert Hilbig and his wife Patricia, Terry Patrick Hilbig and his wife Lorraine, and brother-in-law, Raleigh Skaggs.  He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Glenn is preceded in death by his parents, Vester and Clara Hilbig, sisters Marian Nelson and her husband Charlie, Leatrice Jakubowsky, Laurell Skaggs, Eileen Whitten and her husband Leo, brother J.C. Hilbig and his wife Ann and sister-in-law Joan Hilbig.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, January 29 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne. Inurnment following at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery, 4045 Farm to Market 535, Bastrop, TX 78602.
