Genevelyn Chloe Roberts

GENEVELYN CHLOE ROBERTS, 77, went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ on May 21, 2018 in Austin Texas with love ones at her side. Genevelyn was born in Houston Texas on March 1, 1941 to Charles Clowe Hewitt and Georgia Ray Daricek Hewitt. She married Donald Ray Roberts on September 28, 1957. She was employed by Bastrop County with the Indigent Healthcare Department. She loved her job, coworkers, and helping clients. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, cooking, and plants. She was also served as councilmember for the Red White Blue Veterans banquet with a Bastrop County for the past eight years. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald R Roberts, Sr, her parents Charles “CC” Hewitt and Georgia Hewitt, her older brother, Bobby Ray Hewitt, her daughter, Gina Roberts Duhon, and grandson, Jeremy Shoumaker. She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Roberts of Georgetown, Georgia Roberts of Cedar Creek, and her son, Donald Ray Roberts, Jr, a brother, Edward Hewitt (Arlene) of Tow, and two son-in-law’s Luke Shoumaker and Glenn Duhon. She is survived by five grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson. She also has numerous extended family members. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Friday, May 25, 2018, Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 26, 2018, Wyldwood Baptist Church, Cedar Creek, Texas.  Interment will follow at Upper Cedar Creek Cemetery.
