Gail Theresa Hurst

Gail Theresa Hurst, 72, of Bastrop, TX entered eternal peace on June 18, 2018, with her family by her side. Gail was born April 5, 1946, in Washington, D.C to Omer and Beatrice Culbertson. A kind soul, she loved feeding the deer, birds, and other animals that wandered into her path. She never met a stranger, and if you met her once, you never forgot her. Her compassion reached many, and she devoted much of her time and energy to being a caregiver. Gail enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, camping, fishing, doing art and crafts, reading, and watching NASCAR and gameshows. She is preceded in death by her son Richard Lance “Lanny” Hurst and her parents Beatrice and Omer Culbertson.Gail is survived by three children; Maurine Weber her two children William Dildine Jr and spouse Melloney and son Ian, Twanette Dildine and partner Amanda Barret and son Remi. Theresa Edie and her two children Donald Goins Jr, Jynnifer Hudson and spouse Adam and children David, Donovan, Dalton, and Lily. Richard Hurst Jr and spouse Hope and children Shelby, Kaleb and Hayley.   She is also survived by her brothers William Culbertson and his wife Janet; David Culbertson and his wife Linda; Sisters, Beatrice “Bunny” Culbertson and Mary Pat Koch, and Sister Karen Ho and her husband Terry. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Gail was a fireball and left this earth just as she lived – She did it her way.Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2018 at 11:30 am at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel followed by a Celebration of Life at the American Legion, 3003 Loop 150, Bastrop, Texas 78902 In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to The America Lung Association
