Frances Ann Parker

Frances Ann Dowden Parker, 74, of Anacoco, La, passed away peacefully at her son’s home on November 17, 2022, in Bastrop Tx.

Frances was born in Plainview, La to LJ and Helen Dowden on July 4, 1948.

*She married Hugh “Pete” Parker Jr. on April 21, 1982

Frances is survived by Daughter Chanda Jackson, Husband Brian of Leesville, La., Misty. Sons; Trinidy Smith, wife Toni of Bastrop Tx., Tanner Smith, wife Brittany of Anacoco, La., Greg Parker, wife Nykole of Anacoco La. Brothers; Teddie Dowden, Wife Cheryl, Ronald Dowden, wife JoeAnn, Dan Dowden, wife Vickie. And Sister Connie Brooks.

Frances was Preceded in Death by Her Husband Hugh “Pete” Parker, Father and Mother LJ and Helen Dowden, Sisters; Wanda Delp, Marilyn Merchant and Brother Donald Wayne Dowden.

The many Names of Frances Parker ,

Sissy to her siblings she loved so very dear and told stories of often. She cherished all her many talks on the phones, coffee at the round table in her kitchen, and visits with cakes on her birthday.

Hairdresser , Not only did everyone love her iconic Hair Style, she loved helping people feel their most beautiful. Later in life you could still stop by for a cut and style around that same kitchen table.

Gardener , her green thumb produced so many beautiful flowers, sweet fruit and crispy veggies. The grandkids would race to the table for some of her homegrown cucumbers, tomatoes and Lemon Pepper.

Artist , she dearly loved spending time with her best friend Betty Sutton, learning to paint and that she did. You will find many of her beautiful paintings on her walls adorned with many award-winning ribbons.

The Name she most cherished was “Nana” this was given to her by her grandbabies, Tanner, Chelsie, Kirstie, Colton, Ethyn, and Joseph. As grandkids do, they grew up and married their sweethearts Tanner with Brittany, Chelsie with Gavin, Colton with Miami, and from this she was blessed to have three beautiful Great Grandchildren, Tritan 5, Jace 1, Lillibeth 5 months. And Kirstie will soon be marrying her sweetheart Noe and many children to add to this list, will make her smile down from Heaven.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 am on December 10, 2022 at Prewitt's Chapel Baptist Church, 383 Prewitt Chapel Road, Hornbeck, LA, 71439.
