Frances Beauchamp

Frances Jatzlau Beauchamp of Houston, Texas left this earth to join her God and her husband at the age of 94 on July 4, 2021.  She was born Sept 13, 1926 in Fedor, Texas to Charles Henry Jatzlau and Minnie Louise Domann Jatzlau.  She was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, received elementary education in the one-room Fedor school house and graduated from Giddings High School.  She went on to work for Humble Oil as a key operator and finished her working career retiring from K-Mart Corporation as a Department Manager.

Frances married the love of her life, Harold Dale Beauchamp, on September 6, 1947.  After their retirements, she and Harold spent just about every other weekend at the old homestead in Fedor.  She always spoke fondly of the church picnics, family reunions, and the local Fedor fish fry and it was her pleasure and goal to attend all whenever she could.

Harold and Frances were together on this earth until his death on April 3, 2015.  Frances had a passion for cooking for her immediate family and never said no to providing her special dishes for seasonal church activities and the ad-hoc special occasion.  Frances was a devout Christian throughout her life.  She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor as a child and young adult. After her marriage to Harold they both became members of Pilgrim Lutheran Church in Houston, Texas and although the last several years have seen challenges in her ability to physically attend, she remained a member until her passing.

Frances is survived by her two children; Terry Beauchamp and Rebecca Beauchamp Kotter; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.  Funeral arrangements are being made through Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.  A viewing will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fedor, Texas on July 10, 2021 beginning at 9:30am followed by a celebration of life at 10:00 am and interment next to her beloved Harold at the Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Fedor.  The family requests that donations be made to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Fedor in lieu of flowers.
