Eva Joyce Friske

Our beautiful momma, Eva (Meuth) Friske, born May 5, 1937, went to spend Christmas with baby Jesus on his birthday, December 25, 2024.

She devoted her life here on earth to her family and friends. As a young child, she learned to sew and make her own clothes. As she grew up, her talent enhanced and she was a wonderful seamstress, making many garments for her family and clients, as well as taking care of her husband and five children. She also worked at Continental EMSCO Credit Union.

After moving back to Rockne, Texas. She worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional until her retirement. She was also proud to work with Ladies of Charity and St. Anne’s Society of Sacred Heart.

Eva was preceded in death by her loving husband, Cecil Friske; her parents, Richard and Katie (Klaus) Meuth; brothers, Valon , Pat , Norman and Merlin Meuth; sister, Nelda Ann Cowan; grandsons, Anthony , Glen and Mark Matocha; and great-grandson Christopher Friske.

Eva is lovingly remembered by her children, Cynthia (Tommy) Widacki, Dena (Mike) Matocha, Bobby Friske, Stephanie Friske and Clifford (Charlotte) Friske. Grandchildren, Amanda (Mike) Green, Bridgett (Danny) Tostado, Monica Friske, Brenda (Michael) Christman, Sam (Lindsay) Garrett, Gary Matocha, Caleb (Lauren) Friske and Christa Friske. Great-grandchildren, Kaden Widacki, Zachary Ferguson, Haylie and Caleb Green, Juliana and Benjamin Delos Santos, Katie Christman, Seth Jones, Luke, Layla and Scarlett Garrett, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Eva Friske’s funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at 10:30am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4045 FM 535, Rockne, Texas. Friends are invited to join family for a visitation prior to the mass beginning at 9:00am and the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 10:00am. Eva will be laid to rest at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, next to her husband.
