Esther Cervantes

Esther Estelle Cervantes, 97, formerly of Paige left her earthly home on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 in Bastrop, Texas.    Esther was born in Houston, Texas on January 10, 1922, the daughter of Samuel and Maximillon Quinones. She married Santos Cervantes, they were blessed with 79 years or marriage.   She worked in Houston at Lone Star Bagging as a seamstress sewing burlap bags. There was always envy in her group because she was the fastest sewing seamstress. Esther also owned a ceramic business.   Esther’s loved to go fishing, bowling and spending time with her granddaughters.   She is survived by her daughter, Martha Cervantes; two granddaughters: Esther Cervantes and Victoria Pierce; Grandson, Daniel Arroyo and numerous nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Santos; two sons: Sam and David Cervantes; two brothers and four sisters.   Viewing will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home in Bastrop.   Graveside Services will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Bastrop at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2019.   Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Highway 71 East, Bastrop, Texas.
