Edmund Leon Yeisley

Edmund Leon Yeisley, 90, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on Tuesday November 26th, 2024 at St. David's South Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas.

Edmund Leon Yeisley was born in Maryville, Missouri on August 24th, 1934 to Florene and Harry Yeisley being their first child.

He is survived by wife, Charlotte Yeisley; a brother, Dean Yeisley and wife Eve of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Vivian Rodgers in Lubbock, Texas; daughter, Pamela Cearley of Kerrville, Texas; son, Stephen Yeisley & wife Roxanne of Smithville, Texas; and daughter, Lynda Pausewang & husband Carl of Kerrville, Texas. He has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He previously worked in auto parts and at Dell computers but later found the work of his dreams of being a farmer on 130 acres with John Deere tractors and lots of help from very special friends! He had 250 chickens and awesome houses for these feather friends. He was known as the "egg man" delivering 50-80 dozen eggs every weekend, and the highlight of his trips was getting homemade breads, cookies, cakes, candies from his customers.

Ed loved growing all types of vegetables and was involved in farmers market for years. He loved the vendors and became lifelong friends quickly.
Anyone that met Ed loved him immediately and knew they had an awesome friend in him too.

Ed had been through several bouts of sickness in 2024 with strokes in June, July and then again in November. In August, he had an awesome 90th Birthday party that many of his friend attended. He was so proud & excited to have them enjoy being together and have fun.

He fought this illness with strokes, heart problems, etc until he was tired and said he was ready to go. No doubt his mother, dad and mother-in-law came to show him the way to Heaven the evening of November 26 at 11:30pm with Charlotte by his side holding his hand. He passed peacefully & without pain.

Services will be held at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home on Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at 2pm, with Pastor Michael Murphy of First Baptist Church, Smithville, Texas.
