Donald Ray King

Donald Ray King, age 51, of Paige Texas, left the world to be with Jesus, on July 9, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.

Visitation will be 5:00pm – 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 9:00am, on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home with Pastor Cody Goodwill of The Church of The Risen Savior, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, McDade, Tx.

Donald was born in Austin, Texas to Joe Louis King and Patsy Ruth Cordell King on October 9, 1968. He was the youngest of six children. Donald was a wonderful husband to Cheriẻ King. He was a proud daddy to one child Amber Lynn King. Donald had one grandson, Jeremiah Ayden Juarez who was the light of his life. Everyone who knew Donald loved him because he carried the love of God in his heart. Donald’s desire was to share the word of God with everyone he met.

Donald is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, William Franklin King and Dollie Mae Drury King, his maternal grandparents, Perry Alton Cordell and Evelyn Mae Tabers Cordell, his father Joe Louis King, his nephew Christopher Morgan and many other uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Donald is survived by his wife, Cheriẻ King, daughter, Amber Lynn King, brothers Joe Louis King Jr., Billy Joe King, sisters, Debbie Ruth King Reece, Brenda Kay King Retzlaff, Vickie Lynn King Stiefer, his only grandchild, Jeremiah Ayden Juarez, brothers-in-law, Darrel Lewis Reece, Allen Brewer Retzlaff  and Michael Scott Stiefer, sisters-in-law, Mary Kay Minnis King and Shannon Lee Ott King, and to many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends to mention.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Joey Morgan, Gregory Reece, Jacob Wells, Adam and Anthony Retzlaff, Mason King, and cousin Clint Foster.
