Debbie Sullivan, 71, of Smithville, Texas entered the gates of Heaven on August 26, 2024. She was born in Dallas, Texas on December 30, 1952. She lived her life as a Homemaker and wouldn’t have had it any other way. She was born to be a mother and made sure that all five of her children and many grandchildren knew they were loved. Her hobbies included baking, reading, writing, coloring, and puzzles. She was a Christian woman who believed in God and the scriptures of the Holy Bible. She believed there was good in everyone and forgave anyone that ever caused her pain or sorrow. She loved her family and her friends and always did anything she could to brighten their day. She found joy through the heartache, happiness through the sadness, peace through the turmoil, and light through the darkness. She was resilient, strong, and brave and everyone’s biggest cheerleader. Debbie is survived by her children; Jerry Bailey, Kimberly Hanly, Jennifer Burns, Kevin O’Neal, and Jonathan Sullivan; her grandchildren; Kristopher and Kolten McClain, Coty Hamilton, Christa Burns, and Brittany Bailey; numerous great-grandchildren, as well as many others she claimed as her own because “family” meant more to her than blood. Debbie was preceded in death by her parents John Slocum and Juanita Bailey, brothers Mike and Robert Slocum, sister Jonita Davis, and grandson Kyle Hamilton. May they all rejoice in Heaven together. There will be no funeral service, instead, her ashes will be entrusted to each of her children and her life will be celebrated in a private memorial service to be held at a later date. May her light continue to shine upon us forever.
