It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dawson Avera Ramos in September 2024. Dawson was a beloved son, brother, and friend, whose presence brought joy and inspiration to all who knew him.
Dawson was truly a Renaissance man. He was known for his loyalty, humor, athletic prowess, and sharp analytical mind. During his formative years, he showcased his talents by participating in the Texas Relays and competing in the Junior Olympics. His passion for sports extended to club soccer, where he forged lifelong friendships. Dawson also cherished the great outdoors, enjoying fishing and hunting as any true Texan would.
He was blessed with the best of friends, who provided love and levity throughout his life. We are deeply grateful to those friends who enriched Dawson's journey with their unwavering support and companionship.
Dawson's academic achievements were equally remarkable. He earned a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and co-authored numerous scientific papers. One of his proudest moments was presenting a paper as the first named author at the Society of Petroleum Engineers conference in Dubai.
As we mourn his loss, we find solace in the memories we shared and the knowledge that he is embraced by God’s love and grace. We await our reunion in His glory and take peace in knowing that Dawson's memory will always be with us.
Dawson, you will be forever missed and always loved. We rejoice in the privilege of having had you in our lives.
