David Robinson Hardie, Jr.

David R. Hardie Jr. of Bastrop, Texas passed away on April 15th, 2023 in Austin, Texas. David was born in Bell Gardens, CA to David and Wilma Hardie on July 14th, 1942. He graduated from Bell Gardens High School in 1960. A proud Veteran of the Vietnam War, David served in both the US Air Force and the US Army Reserves where he received multiple accreditations. David moved with his family to Alaska in 1982, where he resumed his love of hunting and fishing. In addition to his interest in the outdoors, David was also mechanically inclined and loved to tinker with automobiles. He is survived by his ex-wife Robin, his sons David and Jeremy, his daughter Johnna, his grandchildren Emily, Lindsey, Brianna, Brian, Taylor and Evelyn, and his great-granddaughters Madeline and Mabel. David was preceded in death by his wife Deborah and his siblings Nelvia, Carla, and Orie. David's ashes will be returned to his beloved home of Alaska where his family will hold a private service.
