Dale Eugene Blomstrom

Dale Eugene Blomstrom, 61, of Cedar Creek, passed away on March 12, 2022, in Cedar Creek.

Dale was born in Austin, Texas, to Eugene C.  and Dolores Carr Blomstrom on December 13, 1960.  He went to school in Austin and graduated from Lanier High School.  He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America.  Having attained the rank of Eagle Scout, he was tapped for membership in the Order of the Arrow.  He was raised in the Baptist faith.

He loved animals, especially his dog Shay.  He was an avid photographer of wildlife.  He enjoyed taking pictures of the wild turkey and deer on our home place.  On warm evenings he sat in the drive with his dad to watch the deer come to eat at the feeder.  He spent many hours watching the Outdoor channel on television, plus some other favorites.  He loved food, especially cherry cheesecake and his grandmother's lemon pound cake.

Dale is survived by his parents, Eugene and Dolores Blomstrom; brother, Paul H. (Cydney) Blomstrom; sister, Elizabeth Ann (Allan) Gillett; nephews:  Matthew R. (Megan) Gillett, Tyler A. Gillett, Jonathan F. (Emily) Gillett, and Jacob P.(Janelle)Blomstrom. He is also survived by his aunt Mary Frances (V.L.) Montgomery and uncles Harold G. (Pam) Carr, and James Blomstrom and numerous cousins.

Dale is preceded in death by his grandparents, Herman P. (Lucille) Blomstrom and Hilton M. (Mary Lewis) Carr.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.  on Friday, March 25, 2022.

Memorial Service will follow the visitation at 3:00 p.m.
