Cynthia Lynn Hazelwood, 31, of Bastrop, Texas passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 18, 2023. Cynthia Hazelwood was born on May 28, 1992 in Tacoma, Washington to Tim and Lana (Beegle) Hazelwood. She grew up with her older brother, Brandyn. Cynthia graduated from Blanchester High School in Ohio in 2010 then started her first job at Gold Star Chili. Following a visit to her Grandpa in Bastrop, Texas, she realized Texas is where she wanted to be. She eventually moved to Bastrop to start her new career working at Hyatt Regency Lost Pines Hotel as a seasonal worker in outdoor recreation. She absolutely loved her job. She then decided to transition to hospitality as this was her calling. While working at Lost Pines, she met the love of her life, Jason Taylor. An opportunity arose and she transferred to Hyatt Regency in Downtown Seattle, Washington. She was so excited for the new opportunity, however COVID hit and took its toll on the country. She powered through and ended up at the Suncadia Resort in Cle Elum, Washington. Jason joined her at the hotel where they worked together for seven months. Texas continuously called to the both of them and they decided to make the move back to Bastrop. Jason and Cynthia became engaged and were to be married in October of 2023 Cynthia is preceded in death by her grandpa Jim LeFevers, of Lebanon, Ohio., and her grandma Sandy Huntsinger, of Blanchester, Ohio. Cynthia is survived by her parents, Tim and Lana (Beegle) Hazelwood; her brother, Brandyn (Tricia) Hazelwood of Augusta, Georgia along with two nieces, Kammi and Emery Hazelwood and one nephew, Wyatt Hazelwood. She is also survived by the love of her life, fiance Jason Taylor of Bastrop, Texas. and grandparents, Patricia LeFevers of Clarksville, Ohio, and Dave (Jeanette) Beegle of Bastrop, Texas. A memorial service will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Providence Funeral Home, Bastrop, Texas. Please come prepared to celebrate the life of our beautiful daughter Cynthia (Cyd) Hazelwood.
