Cora J Handley

February 9, 1933 — March 5, 2020

Cora Jewell Handley, 87, went home on March 5, 2020.  She was born February 9, 1933 in Cooke County, Texas to Jacob and Inis Skinner Waren.  She married Weldon Haney in April 1954.  They later divorced.  She married Robert D. Handley on March 23, 1968.

Cora grew up in Gainesville, Texas.  Her adult life was spent in California, Texas, Utah, Idaho and the last 16 months in Texas again.   She was a member of Calvary Temple in Caldwell, Idaho and Austin First Church in Austin, Texas.

She is survived by one brother, Ray Waren (JonnieRuth) of Riverside, California; her children, daughters: Jane Bruesch of Melba, Idaho and Pamela Anderson of Sigurd, Utah; sons: Earnest Haney (Neava) of Caldwell, Idaho and Wesley Haney (Kathi Hendricks) of Bastrop, Texas; five grandchildren, Carla (Troy) Haney, LeaAnne (Josh) Beyer, Eddy (Nicole) Haney, David Haney and Savannah Haney; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to her niece, Ruthie Wood, granddaughter Savannah Haney and to Kathi Hendricks.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, two brothers, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 E., Bastrop, TX.
