Cleveland Day Rutherford

Cleveland Day Rutherford, 71, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on November 27, 2021, at his home in Bastrop, Texas.

Cleveland was born in Three Rivers, Texas to William John and Verdie Mae Rutherford on July 27, 1950.  He was raised and went to school in Calliham, Texas.  He married Marsha Rutherford on March 22, 1982, in Wailua, Kauai, HI.

In 1970 Cleveland moved to Alaska where he worked as a surveyor for various companies all over the State. In 1983 he moved back to Texas.

In 2018 Cleveland retired to a small farm in Bastrop where he enjoyed raising registered goats, chickens, and dogs.  He also enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing, boating, and playing poker.

Cleveland is survived by his wife Marsha, sons Will (Melody), Dale (Rose), daughters Shauna (Tim), Tiffany (Josh), grandchildren Syrika (Noah), Saysha (Michael), Avery, Ariel, Austin, Autumn, Aiyanna, and Ava.

Cleveland is preceded in death by his parents, William John and Verdie Mae Rutherford, Sisters Patricia, Johnette and Bernice.

A celebration of life will be held at his home next Spring.
