Christian Felix Gonzalez

May 12, 1989 — August 3, 2024

Christian Felix Gonzalez, 35, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away on August 3, 2024.

Born in McAllen, Texas, on May 12, 1989, to Lorena Gonzalez, Christian grew up with a deep sense of duty and empathy. A kind and gentle soul who cared deeply for his family. He grew up and attended school in Austin, Texas, where he met and married the love of his life, Laura Granados, on January 13, 2011. Their bond was a source of profound joy and strength in his life.

Christian was a proud veteran of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, serving with unwavering honor in the Marine Corps. He was awarded three Purple Hearts, symbols of his bravery and sacrifice for his country. Beyond his family, Christian’s greatest pride was his dedication to his country and his steadfast commitment to doing what was right. He was a devoted father, loving husband, caring brother, best friend, passionate Cowboy fan, and he will forever be remembered as a Marine.

Christian had a passion for watching football and spent countless hours playing video games with his son Julian and having fun boxing matches with his son Julius. He also enjoyed picking out outfits for his daughter Elyanna and taking her shopping. Most of all, he loved showering his wife with affection and thoughtful gifts.

Christian is survived by his devoted spouse, Laura Granados; his daughters, Elyanna Irene Rodriguez and Anahi Milagro Gonzalez; and his twin sons, Julian Ulises Gonzalez and Julius Dominique Gonzalez. He is also survived by his sister, Araceli Salgado; his cousins, Alvaro Zermeño and Manny Zermeño; his nephews Gustavo Esquivel Jr., Carlitos Esquivel, and Lesly Ann Granados; his cherished friends, Aaron Janke and Jose Ramirez Chavez; and his beloved orange cat, Canelo. Christian’s love and spirit live on through his devotion to his family, friends, and fellow Marines.
