Charles Woodrow Miller, 77, of Round Rock passed away peacefully on April 16 , 2023. His wife of 58 years was by his side. He was born October 11, 1945 in Smithville, Texas to parents Woodrow Bryson Miller and Vivian Doris Gibson. The family moved to Bastrop, Texas when Charles was 2 months old. He was raised by his grandparents Daisy and Jim Queen. Charles accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior when he was a teenager. Charles graduated from Bastrop High School and attended Concordia Lutheran College.
Charles married his high school sweetheart, Alice Ann Adams, in 1964. After active duty at Fort Bliss in El Paso, TX, they moved to Austin, Texas and made Austin their home for the next 39 years before moving to Round Rock in 2008. They were blessed with 2 children, Lawrence Charles (Larry) Miller and Lisa Renee Parker. They also have 3 grandchildren Josiah Lane, Zoe Kaitlyn and Isaac Nathan Parker.
Charles began his career in the wholesale foodservice business in 1967 when he went to work for Frostex Foods. He retired in 2011 from Ben E Keith Foods completing 44 years in the foodservice industry. Through the years, he worked with many people that were both customers and co-workers that also became lifelong friends.
Charles enjoyed playing golf with family and friends. He loved gardening and working with his hands on remodeling and landscaping projects. He loved travelling with his kids, grandkids, and most of all with his wife Ann. Together with his family and friends he travelled to all 50 states and 39 countries.
Charles was preceded in death by his mother, Vivian Johnson, father, Woodrow Miller, grandparents, Daisy and Jim Queen, brother Donnie Howell and brother-in-law Forrest Adams. He is survived by his wife Alice Ann Miller, son Larry Miller of Fort Worth, daughter Lisa Renee Parker of Round Rock, grandchildren Josiah Parker, Zoe Parker and Isaac Parker of Round Rock. He is also survived by his sister, Vicky Tiner of Smithville, son-in-law Darryl Parker, sisters-in-law Kathleen Adams and Jane Howell, nephews Allen Zbranek, Jeremy Howell, nieces Tammi Todd, Terri Harris, Amy Howell and Vanessa Adams.
