Charles Edgar Lasley, 79, of Levelland, Texas passed away on March 17, 2022 in Bastrop, Texas.

Charles was born in Amarillo, Texas to T.E. and Mildred Lasley on June 15, 1942. He attended school at Levelland High School. He married Rebecca Lou Stewart on November 7, 1964 in Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Texas Tech University.

He was a veteran who served as a pilot for the United States Air Force. He fought in the Vietnam War and was awarded Top Gun of his squadron while stationed in Japan. He later retired from Civil Service where he worked as a Housing Inspector at several different military bases.

He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, playing golf (in his younger years), and spending time on the ranch. He collected and sold Texaco dyecast trucks and the artwork of Pati Bannister and Bev Doolittle.

He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Lasley; daughter,Cheryl Pinkston and husband, Sky Pinkston; and grandson, Cody Pinkston.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, T.E. and Mildred Lasley and his sister, Donna McDermott Byrd Corn.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.
