Carl Eugene Cice

Carl Eugene Cice, 87, of Cedar Creek, passed away on May 31, 2021 in Pampa, Texas.

Carl was born in Canton, Ohio to Angelo and Margaret Cice on August 07, 1932.  He went to Lincoln High School in Canton Ohio.  Carl was married to Gertrude Maultsby on March 23, 1957 in Austin, Texas.

Carl worked as an Administrative Assistant to Dr. Charles LeMaistre at the University of Texas in Austin, and finished out his 15 year career at the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Research Center in Bastrop, Texas.   He served in the USAF in the 523 rd Strztegic Fighter Squadron and retired as a SMSGT and served during the Indochina war and received the National Defense Service Medal.

In 1972, Carl joined the Boy Scouts of America as a scout leader where he mentored many youths to The Eagle Scout Rank.  He received many honors for the work he did during his many years with the scouts.

Carl is survived by his wife Gertrude Cice, and children; Mark, Carlene, and Chris. His many brothers and sisters: Marion Carraher, Paul Cice, Shirley Brown, Joseph Cice, Patricia Staffer, Angelo, and Charles.  Carl and Gertrude have a Son-in-law Larry Barger(Carlene’s husband) daughter-in-law Sarah Cice (Chris’s wife) (granddaughter Addy Woolery), a grandson Paul Rayburn who is married to Mary Grace with 3 great grandchildren, Joseph, Gabriel, Kinley, a daughter-in-law Sarah Cice.

Carl is preceded in death by John Cice.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am on Thursday June 10, 2021 at Ascension Catholic Church Bastrop, Texas. Burial will be at the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a future date.
