Bridget Denise Borja, affectionately known to many as "Bridge," passed away on April 6, 2025, in Smithville, Texas, at the age of 35. Born on February 7, 1990, in Richardson, Texas, Bridget exemplified kindness, warmth, and generosity throughout her life, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A proud graduate of the Galen School of Nursing, Bridget dedicated over 14 years of her professional life to caring for others at the Ascension Seton Smithville. Her commitment to nursing not only highlighted her compassionate nature but also her profound desire to make a difference in her community. Known for her welcoming personality and giving spirit, she became a beloved figure among colleagues and patients alike.
Bridget's personal life reflected her dedication to family and love. She was profoundly proud of her marriage to German Agustin Borja, whom she considered the love of her life. Together, they celebrated the joys of parenthood, raising their two sons, Landen Agustin and Nico Adrian, with unwavering love and support. Bridget's proudest accomplishments include her role as a devoted mother and the cherished memories created with her family.
She was surrounded by a close-knit and loving family, including her mother Dee Ann Nelson and father Keith Nelson, her brother Bradley Nelson (Cheyenne), her sister Kristen Delgado (Walter), and grandparents, Edgar Dale Weaver (Doris Nelson) and Diana Hedrick. Bridget also leaves behind her in-laws, German and Debra Borja, and numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, including Maria Borja, Debbie Borja, Oliver Borja (Morgan), Lorraine Borja (Ezequiel Estevez), Daniel Borja (Elizabeth), and Justin Borja. She cherished her many nephews and nieces: Christohper, Lucas, Mason, Olivia, Michael, Tomas, Ezequiel Jr, Rafael, Maddox, Ariella, Cade, Waylon, Walker, Williow, Elias, and Natalie, as well as a multitude of loving cousins and close friends who were an integral part of her life.
Bridget was always active, religious with her CrossFit workouts, and found joy in playing softball. She loved listening to music, fishing, playing dominos, and was always eager to spend quality time with her friends and family, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her legacy is one of laughter, love, and loyalty.
She is preceded in death by her beloved "Mawmaw" LaWana Houck Weaver, her "Grandpa" Carol Nelson, her "Papa" Wayne Hedrick, her uncle Jimmy Williams, and her cousin Joe Anthony Navarro. Their memories will forever reside in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Viewing services will be held at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home on April 11, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will take place the following day, April 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Smithville Church of Christ.
Pallbearers include Landen Borja, Steven Bratcher, Joe Chatham, Morgan Kay, Bub Salinas, and Cody Wilhelm.
Honorary pallbearers include Eric Bennet, Christopher Borja, and Oliver Borja.
Bridget Denise Borja's indelible mark on this world will be remembered by all whose lives she touched, continuing to inspire kindness, generosity, and love in their hearts.
