Beckey Ann Gattis Kamp

Beckey Ann Gattis Kamp of Cedar Creek passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, July 13, 2022.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Buck & Joyce Gattis and her sister, Debra Gattis.

Beckey is survived by two daughters, Misty Miertschin and husband Dustin of Winchester, Kandi Kamp, and fiancé Tristan Grimmer of Cedar Creek; five grandchildren, Shelby, Hailey, Bryce, Bobby, and Kaylee; three great grandchildren Kamrie, Gracelynn, and Nova; a sister, Peggy Gattis, and brother, Lenard "Peanut'' Gattis and wife Christy; nephews, Gary "Luke" Gattis and wife Jeannie, Christopher Roark, and wife Meagan; nieces, Jenna & Kristin Gattis, Bree Hanna, and husband Jeffrey; great nieces & nephews, Kaylen, Kasey, Laynie, Bryan, Daeton, Savannah, Tanner, Silas, Kennedy, and Charlotte.

Beckey clearly was not short on family and greatly loved them all, some may say she loved her dogs and candy more, but the family knew it was really her grandchildren! Her love for all those babies is where she and her home earned the neighborhood nickname of “The Candy Lady's House”.

Beckey, being the youngest of four, lived her life unapologetically and thoroughly enjoyed every minute being "One Crazy Heifer'' as so many have called her. She spent her younger years bartending alongside her older sisters, while making sure it was known that she was the youngest with her crazy ideas and her arguing with them until they'd finally just give in. She enjoyed creating everlasting friendships and leaving unimaginable impressions. There are so many stories to be told during these years. Those who really knew Beckey, could share many of these stories, to say the least. Her family swore she was like a "cat'' with nine lives, and when we say nine lives, we can assure you she used every one of them on some kind of wild, vibrant adventure which made her the life of the party .

Beckey’s daughters, Misty, and Kandi will be hosting a Celebration of Life for family and friends to gather.
