Barbara Marie Van Allen

Barbara (Smejkal) Van Allen, 69 went to be with her Lord on August 3rd.  Her beauty and faith only shown brighter as her battle with cancer progressed over the last sixteen months.  She will forever share the admiration and affection of her husband Allan, her daughter Jeannie, sons Paul, Timothy, and Adam fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild.  She is survived by five siblings and will be laid to rest beside her parents Frank and Rose Smejkal, her first husband Gene Ruehl and her brother Frank in Beeville, Texas.   Memorial service at Providence Funeral Home 2pm Friday the 11th in Bastrop.
