Anton John Goertz

Anton John Goertz passed away peacefully in his home on April 19, 2018 at the age of 97. He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Jane Goertz; four children Father Howard Goertz, Kay Frerich (Terry), Sara Goertz (Clifton), Gerard Goertz (Audrey), seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters Mary Ann Till (Alfred), and Laverne Till.He was a WWII veteran. He worked part time as a mechanic in Rockne and with the soil conservation service for several years in Bastrop measuring land, but spent most of his life as a farmer and rancher.     Visitation will be 3:00-5:00pm Sunday, April 22, 2018, Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.  Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be 10:30am, with Funeral Mass at 11:00am, Monday, April 23, 2018, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockne, Interment with Military Honors will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
