Anna Baker Littrell, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and devoted member of her community, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born on September 16, 1940, in Longview, Texas, to Latys Alexander Baker and Lester Baker, Anna grew up with a strong foundation of family values and dedication. She spent most of her adult life in Austin, Texas, where she built a thriving career and a loving home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Patricia Baker Maxwell, and her brother Richard Baker. She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Littrell Mellenbruch, son-in-law, Chris Mellenbruch, and her cherished granddaughter, Lorelei Mellenbruch. Anna also leaves behind her sister, Joy Kouts, and brother-in-law, Bob Kouts.
Anna graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Real Estate, a field in which she would build an impressive 50+ year career. As a dedicated Realtor, Anna not only served countless families but also contributed to the growth of the profession. She was a respected board member of the Austin Board of Realtors and played a pivotal role in creating the Realty Roundup expo, a well-known event for real estate professionals.
Anna was an active member of Shepherd of the Hills Presbyterian Church, where she found solace and community in her faith.
Her vibrant spirit, devotion to family, and commitment to her work will be remembered by all who knew her. The impact she had on her loved ones and the real estate community will endure as part of her lasting legacy.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Argent Court and Magnolia Hospice for their compassionate care during Anna's final days.
Funeral services will be held at Haynie Chapel United Methodist Church, 16309 Greenwood Dr, Del Valle, TX 78617. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her memory to Hospice: https://theremarkablelife.org/ or The Alzheimer’s Association.
