Angelina Maria Perez

Angelina “Angie” Perez, 64, of Bastrop went to her heavenly home on Sunday, December 15, 2019 due to a tragic automobile accident.

Angie was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Emma (Ramirez) and Francisco Perez Sr. She met the love of her life, Guillermo Meraz. They had twenty-eight loving years together.

She worked for the City of Bastrop as a custodian since 2006. She was passionate about her job and put a smile on everyone’s face every morning as she met her fellow coworkers.

Angie enjoyed being with family, especially her grandchildren; gardening, cooking, dancing, thrift shopping and attending church at Friendship Baptist Church. She had a heart of gold, compassionate, was loved by every life she touched and will be greatly missed.

Angie is survived by her daughter, Elicia Montez (Shawn Washington); two sons: Jesse F. Montez Jr.  (Sonia) and Juan S. Montez; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters: Kristina Perez and Irene Luna (Francisco); four brothers: Fernando Perez (Mary Ann), Albert Perez (Alyson), Francisco Perez (Ida) and Steven Perez; half-brother, Ramon Perez; half-sisters: Naomi and Gloria Perez and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Guillermo Meraz; father, Francisco Perez Sr.; loving stepfather, Tiburcio Corona; grandparents, Adela and Alberto Ramirez Sr. and half-brother, Michael Perez.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 20, 2019 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Visitation will follow services until 5:00 p.m. at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, 2079 Hwy 71 East, Bastrop, Texas.
