Ambrosio Teran Meraz

June 5, 1951 — March 29, 2022

Ambrosio Meraz 70 of Red Rock, TX  passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side March 29th, 2022.

Ambrosio was born in San Vicente Tancuayalab Mexico to Ambrocio Meraz Nava Sr. and Aura Teran (Rivera) Meraz. On June 5th, 1951, He married Irma Meraz on April 6th, 1972, in San Vicente Tancuayalab.

Ambrosio enjoyed fishing, cooking, spending time in his garden planting and tending to his chile pequin, nopales and roses. He loved being a jokester, eating fried fish, making his homemade salsa “the hotter the better”, nopales with eggs & chicharrones tacos. He took great pride in his construction business that he ran along with his son. He was a  family man, and his greatest blessing was being the best grandpa to all his grandchildren and great grandchildren. All of whom will miss him tremendously.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Irma Meraz; son Julio Meraz Sr. (Yumara) and daughters: Yazmin Meraz (Vanessa), and Lucy Meraz; grandchildren: Stephanie Gonzales, Juan Meraz, Priscilla Meraz, Mariah Montoya, Alyssa Montoya, Jaylan Meraz, Marisa Coy, Alexandria Ybarra, Marisol Meraz, Valeria Meraz, Junior Meraz, Mila Meraz, and Giselle Meraz: great grandchildren: Julian Leyva, Ashley Vazquez, Willian Leyva, Sofia Vazquez and Ethan Garcia, brothers: Cesar Meraz, Enoscain Meraz, Jorge Meraz Sr, Gelacio Meraz Sr, Concepcion Lopez, Trinida Meraz, Mariano Meraz, and Leonel Meraz; sisters: Diosemina Meraz, Magdalena Meraz, Virginia Meraz, Catalina Lopez, Isabel Lopez, Julia Meraz andElizabeth Meraz; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Israel Meraz, Guillermo Meraz and Compadre Lino Rivera.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers of flowers the family requests outside plants for the memorial garden that will be located at the residence.
