Alma Lee Rodriguez

On August 26, 2022, Alma Lee Rodriguez, of Bastrop, Texas, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55.

Alma was born in Houston, Texas to Janie and Arturo Alcala on June 07, 1967. She married Ronney Rodriguez, and they raised two children, Rene and Jessica.

Alma moved to Bastrop County in 1995 to pursue country living.  Working for Bastrop County WCID#2 for over 20 years, she became a staple in the community. Known for her smile, infectious laugh and kind heart, she loved interacting with anyone she came in contact with.

Alma’s love for her family was immense. When she wasn’t gathering the family for weekend BBQs, she was riding her Harley, traveling, crafting, working on a house project or boasting to someone about her grandchildren.

Alma is survived by her husband, Ronney, her children, Rene (Victoria) and Jessica (Eric), her sister Alice and brother Arturo Jr, her parents Janie and Arturo, her 5 grandchildren Dalila, Liam, Dilla, Anabelle and Evie.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 2, 2022 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 2, 2022 at Bastrop Providence Funeral home 2079 Hwy 71 East Bastrop, Texas.

Alma loved giving at Christmas time to local charities. In lieu of flowers, a Christmas giving memorial fund is being set-up at Roscoe State Bank. Donations may be made to : Gammie’s Christmas Memorial Fund at Roscoe State Bank, 710 State Hwy 71 Bastrop, Texas 78602.
