Allan George Van Allen

Allan Van Allen entered the rest of Jesus on December 15th.  He was above all things completely faithful to his family and devoted to God.  Allan sat by his wife Barbara’s side until her battle with cancer ended on August 3rd.  They would have been married 50 years on July 19, 2018. Allan is survived by his two older sisters, Barbara Atwood and Karen Gordon, his four children Jeannie, Paul, Tim, and Adam, their spouses and 14 grandchildren (with two more on the way in April) and one great-grandchild.    A memorial service will be held in Bastrop at Providence Funeral Home (Wednesday the 20th 10am) followed by a graveside service where Allan will be laid to rest at Barbara’s side (4pm at Memorial Park in Beeville).
