The Reverend Adam P. Espurvoa (85) of Bastrop, TX passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 16, 2023 with his devoted wife Eva, by his side.
Adam was born June 21,1938 to David & Anita Espurvoa in Wharton, TX. In High School, he ran track & field for his alma mater Uvalde High School. Adam married his high school sweetheart, Eva Arroyos Espurvoa, on November 1, 1956. He attended Howard Payne University in Brownwood, TX.
Adam was a butcher for HEB when he began his ministry as a pastor in 1966. He was a church planter & pastored churches in Refugio, Aransas Pass, Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Dallas, Austin, Uvalde and Bastrop, TX. He was a North American Mission Board Missionary and traveled as a chaplain after natural disasters to Guatemala and Mexico.
Adam leaves behind his wife Eva Espurvoa and four children, Diane Garcia, Adam Jr. (Sandra) Espurvoa, Jesse (Sue) Espurvoa, and Vita (Gary) Savage. His grandchildren, Michael Espurvoa, Brandon Garcia, Evaline Garcia, James Savage & John Savage. Seven great-grandchildren Devin, Jeremiah, Mya, Makayla, Isaiah, Daniella and Sofia.
A private family memorial service is being planned at a later date. Memorials may be given to The Gideons International in his name.
