Jimmie B. Thomas

SMS Jimmie B. Thomas, USAF (Ret.), passed from this life at his home in Cedar Creek, Texas on July 20, 2010 at the age of 74 years.  He was born October 21, 1934 in Santa Monica, California to William Calvin and Willie (Gross) Thomas. Jimmie retired from the US Air Force as a Loadmaster and Crew Member on C-130 aircraft.  Following his Air Force career, he also worked for, and retired from, the US Postal Service. He is survived by: his wife of 58 years, Jerry Thomas; children, Jeana Thomas, John Thomas, Steve Thomas, Michael Thomas and Jim Thomas; a brother, William thomas; a sister, Bonnie Thomas; 22 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, Bastrop, Texas.  Interment will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 26, 2010 in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
