Wilma Willy

Wilma Willy, 96, of Bastrop, formerly of Houston, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2010. Celebration of Life services were held Friday, May 28, 2010 at 10 AM at the Chapel of Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, Bastrop, TX with burial that afternoon at 3 PM in the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, TX.  Wilma Willy was born September 29, 1913 to the late Byron James and Anne (Hall) McCabe in Bosque County, Texas.  She was raised in the Dallas area and moved to Houston where she graduated from Jeff Davis High School.  Wilma married John Willy in 1931 and they moved to Tuxpan, Ver., Mexico.  After living there for 8 years, they returned to Houston in 1940.  Wilma bought Willis Manufacturing, an auto and boat upholstery business.  They sold that business in 1965.  In 1968, Wilma moved to Bastrop, TX.  John Willy preceded her in death and in 1975.  Wilma married Julian F. Willy.  He also preceded her in death. She was a member of Hills Prairie Baptist Church.
