Genaro “Naro” Garcia Jr., 38, of Austin, passed away Monday, June 19th, 2017. He was born August 24th, 1978 in Kankakee, Illinois to Genaro and Virginia Garcia. Genaro was a humble, loving, and hardworking man. He worked alongside his father at Texas Commercial Fence Company for many years. His love of God was evident at all times. He enjoyed listening to Jimmy Swaggart and the band Screw. Only a special individual like Naro could mesh these two together. Genaro took great joy in spending time with his nieces and nephews. He would lend them his cell phone and give them candy against their parents’ wishes… all done with love. One of Genaro’s favorite past times was cruising with his best friends and family; Sergio, Martin, Issac, Daniel, Adrian, David, Peter, and Rick. Genaro will be greatly missed but we know he is in the arms of his Creator. Genaro is survived by his parents Genaro and Virginia Garcia, his grandparents Robert and Gloria Cantu. His brother Issac Garcia and his sister Glorie Genevie McDonald and husband Neal. His sister-in-law Priscilla Gonzalez, his niece and nephews, Amelia Garcia, Emillio Garcia and Issac Guzman. Visitation will be held from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, June 23, 2017 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s cemetery in Lockhart.
