Andrew Charles Padilla

Andrew Charles Padilla died on June 5, 2017. He was born January 9, 1992 in Amarillo, Texas to Joe and Shelly Padilla. Andrew was a loving and kindhearted man. He is survived by his parent’s Shelly and Joe Padilla, along with his four siblings Nicole and husband Juan Palacios, Joe, Elizabeth, and Michael; and Grandma Dee Miller. He is the loving uncle to Justin, Ally, and Lauren Palacios. Andrew grew up in Dumas, Tulia, and Bastrop, Texas. During his time at Bastrop he played football and ran track. He graduated from Bastrop High School in 2010. Andrew would then go on to attend Baylor University. At Baylor he participated in intramural sports (soccer, football, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee), mentor program, The Leadership Living and Learning Community, Stepping Out volunteer program, and had a favorite pet named Helios. He has always loved sports, especially, the New York Yankees, Dallas Stars, LeBron James, and the Green Bay Packers. His hobbies included playing with animals, watching sports, and going on adventures. Visitation will be 3:00pm-9:00pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:00pm, Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be 11:00am Friday, June 9, 2017, at Ascension Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in his memory.
