Russell "Rusty" Clark Voigt

Russell “Rusty” Clark Voigt, 60, of Red Rock, passed away at his home Tuesday, May 15th, 2017. He was born September 13, 1956 in Lockhart, Texas to Odell Voigt and Christine Wyvonne Carroll Voigt. Rusty worked as a Rancher, Volunteer Fireman, and 1st responder. He retired from the County of Bastrop as Bastrop County Jail Maintenance Supervisor. Rusty was an avid Harley Rider, and a fisherman who always caught THE biggest fish. His Grandchildren were his biggest joy. He is preceded in death by his parents and two of his siblings. Rusty is survived by his son John William Voigt and wife Casey Scarmardo; his children; Richard Goshen, Kathy Goshen and David Goshen; brother Todd Voigt and his brother-in-law Glenn Odom; and eight Grandchildren. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00pm Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held 11:00am Friday, May 19, 2017 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Old Red Rock Cemetery, Red Rock, Texas.
