Nancy Carol Reed

Nancy Carol Reed, 76 of Giddings passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. Nancy was born September 24, 1940 in Stamford, Texas to Allie T. and Ruby Mae Hicks. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Jessie Hicks. She is survived by her sons Gilbert “Mark” and Kim Creed; Andy and Tia Reed; and Tim “Nathan” and Dale Bradshaw; sisters Leona Hicks Drath and Carol Spaulding; as well as her beloved Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren. Nancy was a country woman that loved gardening and canning. She could sew anything and loved tooling leather. Nancy also enjoyed drawing and any kind of craft. She always carried a pocket knife in her pants; she was a real spitfire, that always spoke her mind. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 13, 2017, Bastrop Providence Funeral Home chapel.
