Mary Josephine Young

Mary Josephine Young, age 90, was born December 13, 1925 in Rankin, Texas to Robert & Etta Stephenson. Jo was called home June 16, 2016 in Bastrop, Texas, surrounded by her daughter and loved ones who cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Virgil Young, Lt. Col. USAF (retired), her son Stephen Andrew Young, and her son-in-law, David Landers. Jo is survived by her sister, Bennie English, and brother, Ray Stephenson; daughters, Jeanne Landers of Bastrop, Texas and the Rev. Andrea Andress of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Joel Andress, Nathan Andress, and Melanie Perry, as well as nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. The family appreciates the care offered by Kindred at Home Hospice during her final days. She will be interred with Virgil at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice in Jo's name.
