WILLIAM GLENN SOLOMON, was born on December 29, 1926 in Saguache, CO. He passed away peacefully at home on his ranch, June 30, 2015, in Red Rock, TX. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather.
A practicing Attorney for over 55 years, he graduated from Texas Tech University (BS Geology 1951) and University of Texas Law School (JD 1955), where he graduated with honors. He began his legal career with the Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas. As an independent attorney, he enjoyed his association with Maralo, LLC., until his retirement in 2012. He was richly blessed with many friendships and business associates throughout his life and career.
He was a proud American, serving in the Navy during World War II and in the Air Force during the Korean War, and a faithful member of Bateman Baptist Church.
Bill was one of five children born to Earl J. and Bertha Solomon, all of whom pre-deceased him. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce Worrell Solomon, his son Roger (Maria) Solomon, all of Red Rock, TX, his daughter Anne (Wayne) Vaughn, Bakersfield, CA, his grandchildren Thomas and William Solomon and Lisa Marie Vaughn. He is also survived by a brother-in-law Eugene Ward and 2 sisters-in- laws Betty Worrell, Margaret Solomon and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Monday, July 6, at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, at 10:30 AM. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Bateman Cemetery.
