Oscar C. Martinez

Oscar C. Martinez 53 of Bastrop passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015. Oscar was born February 16, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Celso and Maria “Lucy” Martinez. He was raised in Corpus Christi and attended Fraser Elementary, which was very important to him as he stayed in contact throughout the years with his classmates. Oscar was an Eagle Scout and was very involved with coaching his childrens sports. He was an avid Longhorn fan, loved dancing, reading, and camping. He is survived by his parents; wife Natalie Martinez; sons Nicholas Martinez, and Sean Seiley; daughters Cassandra and Carlie Martinez; sister Norma Rodriguez; and numerous Nieces, Nephews, Family Members, and Friends. Visitation will be held 6:00 pm with Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm Tuesday, March 31, 2015, Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Celebration of Mass will be 11:00 am Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Ascension Catholic Church.
