Cynthia Reaves

Cynthia Thomas Reaves, age 94, of Bastrop passed from this life on February 12, 2015. She was born January 13, 1921 in Hammond, Indiana to John and Lavina Thomas. She worked at various retail sales, but most of her life she and her husband, Mel owned and operated Austin Piano Company in Austin and Reaves Piano Company in Odessa. Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband Mel Reaves; granddaughter Cindy Cochran; brothers Herb and Johnny Thomas; and sisters Cecilia Eller, and Cryilla Starmack. She is survived by her children Woody Reaves and wife Rose of Jacksonville, FL, Bobbie Broadbent and husband Harold of Waelder, TX, Dennis Reaves and wife Genie of Rogers, AR, and Jackie Beck and husband Merle of Bastrop, TX; nine Grandchildren; fourteen Great-Grandchildren; and two Great-Great-Grandchildren. Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
