Mary Eloise Wilkins passed away on January 22, 2015 in Bastrop Texas after a long battle with Alzheimer.
She was born on April 9, 1929 to Buster and Mary Mitchell and was the oldest of eight Children.
She spent her childhood in Albany Texas and later married Charles Hoover in 1945. They had two sons
and later moved to Odessa and resided there until his passing. She then married George W. Wilkins and had a third son. She was a bookkeeper for many years and was a gifted quilter. They remained in Odessa for over 50 years and were devoted “MOJO” fans. It was only in the past few years they had to be relocated to Bastrop for medical reasons and to be closer to family.
She is survived by her husband, George W. Wilkins, a son, Samuel C. Hoover, a son, Robert K. Hoover and his wife Diane, a son Ricky L. “Otis” Wilkins and six grandchildren, Sheri, Brian, Stephanie, Joshua, George, Krystal and five great grandchildren, Charlie, Tony, Miguel, Siera, and Adeline Grace. She is also survived by six siblings.
Her father, mother, step mother and a sister preceded her death.
Services are under the direction of Bastrop Providence Funeral Home, Bastrop Texas with burial to be at
Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Odessa Texas on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 2:00PM.
