Hermon Franklin Holt

HOLT, Hermon Franklin, 90, of Bastrop TX passed away peacefully on January 7, 2015. Hermon was born October 6, 1924 to Joseph Gordon Holt, Sr. and Frances (Lloyd) Holt in Bluff Dale TX. He grew up in Stephenville TX, served in the army during WWII from 1943 to 1946 and earned his degree from University of TX in 1949. Working with the Social Security Administration introduced Hermon to the early days of computer programming and remained his craft through retirement with the Texas Rehabilitation Commission. Hermon was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Mary Ann Holt (2010), parents and brothers Hardy Lloyd Holt and Joseph Gordon Holt, Jr. Hermon is survived by three sons, Thomas Franklin Holt and wife Lona, Robert Chalmers Holt and Paul Joseph Holt and wife Janet, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be held at Koenig Lane Christian Church, 908 Old Koenig Lane, Austin TX on January 24, 2015 10:00 am.
