Joshua Paul Easley was born October 17, 1982 to Teresa Lynn Easley and Joseph Henry Easley in Temple, Texas. He was raised in the Bastrop area where he was involved in powerlifting, football, golf and R.O.T.C. He graduated from Bastrop High in 2001. He then enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served as a OS2C (E5) on the U.S.S. Kittyhawk from 2001-2005; he received a National Defense in Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, 2 Meritorious Unit Commendations, Sea Service Deployment Medal, 3 Overseas Service Ribbons, and a Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. Football, Powerlifting, and being in the Military were his favorite past times. After returning home, he reunited with family and friends and began his life here in Bastrop. He moved to Austin area where he married Johanna Easley on July 22, 2009; they welcomed their son Justin Phillip Easley on March 5, 2010. Joshua was employed for Osmose Utilities in Design. Joshua was a loving Son, Brother, and Father, and was loved by so many friends, he will be missed but will live in our hearts forever. He is survived by his wife Johanna Easley; son Justin Easley, mother Teresa Easley and stepdad Phil Center of Bastrop; father Joseph Henry Easley of Copperas Cove; brother Christopher J. and Desiree Easley of Bastrop; brother Jordan and Victoria Centers of Bastrop; brother Blake Centers U.S. Army of Bastrop; Brother Quentin Paul Freeman Jr. of Bastrop; nieces Ainsley Easley, and Sophie Jo Centers; aunt Shirley Metzler; uncle George Fulton; aunt Marilyn Alexander; and many many cousins, and many many friends. Those serving as Pallbearers will be: Chris Easley, Jordan Centers, Blake Centers, Quentin Freeman Jr., Mark Metzler, and Jamie Berthiaume. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, November 14, 2014. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
