Allen L. Mcmurrey Jr.

Allen Lamar McMurrey, Jr. passed away on August 3, 2014 at his home in Bastrop, Texas. He is survived by his wife Marjorie McMurrey, a daughter Mary Allen Smith of Dripping Springs, Texas, a son William McMurrey of Dallas, Texas, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Allen graduated from UT at Austin in 1957 and received a law degree from Baylor in 1959. He practiced law in Bastrop, Texas for 50 years. Visitation will be held at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be held from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
