Dale Nerhus Hintch

Dale Nerhus Hintch of Bastrop, TX passed away on February 19, 2014 at the age of 83. He was born in Industry, Iowa to Willie and Cora (Nerhus) Hintch on July 21, 1930. He attended school in Fort Dodge, Iowa. Dale served in the Air Force from 1948 to 1953. On October 11, 1959 he married Patricia (Pat) McMullen. They raised their family in Ft. Dodge, IA. They were married 52 years until her death on February 6, 2012. In 1982 they moved to Austin, TX. They were active members of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Austin. Dale served on the building committee and participated in the Men’s group and the Red Door Players. He and Pat moved to Bastrop in 2000 to be closer to their daughter and her family. Dale was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Cora Hintch, his wife Patricia, and 4 sisters: MaDonna Schultz, Ermadell Strom, Yvonne Martin, and an infant sister. He is survived by his daughter Christian (Jeffrey) Fiebrich of Bastrop; son William (Betty) Hintch of Arlington Hts., IL; and grandchildren Caitlyn Fiebrich and Mateo Hintch. Services will take place Monday, February 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2128 Barton Hills Dr., Austin. Memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Church or the Bastrop Public Library.
