Donnie Howell

Donnie Howell, longtime resident of Bastrop, Texas was called to his heavenly home on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Donnie retired from LCRA in 2005 after 25 years of service. He spent his last years loving his family and friends while battling numerous illnesses. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Jane Howell; son, Jeremey Howell; daughter, Amy Taylor and husband Tony of Jarrell; mother, Vivian Johnson of Smithville; grandchildren, Daisy and John Howell; sister, Vicky Tiner of Smithville; brother, Charles Miller and wife Ann of Austin; mother-in-law, Jean Rogers; numerous extended family and very close friends he considered family. A special thank you to South Austin Medical Center, Ascera Care Hospice of Bastrop, Dr. Natajii, Dr. L. Vocal, and Dr. P. Chavez. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at First Baptist Church, Bastrop.
