Michael Joe Lilly

On Friday, January 10, 2014 surrounded by his family and friends Michael J. Lilly went to his eternal home with our Lord. Michael was born on February 15, 1954 to Otis Joyce Lilly and Julia Baker Lilly. He was an Eagle Scout and graduate of Lanier High School Class of 1972 and attended Western Colorado State. His home was in Bertram, Texas. He was owner of Lilly's Kindling Shop and was a "Master" of carpentry. He was a member of Burnet Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. Michael's friendly personality and warm demeanor caused him to be loved by everyone. He shared his many talents, enthusiasm and love of life with everyone he met and knew. He leaves behind his dearest companions Otis and Yuma and many lifetime friends. He is survived by his brother, Frank and wife Nancy Lilly; nieces Amy Lilly, Rachel and John Place; two great nieces, and two great nephews, all of Round Rock, TX. A 11:00 A.M. graveside service will be on January 16, at the Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 Hwy 46 S. , New Braunfels, TX. In lieu of flowers, Michael request donations be made to the Boy Scouts of America.
