Ben D. Taylor of Austin, Texas passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013.
Ben was born on January 10, 1972 in San Antonio Texas. He grew up in the town of Bastrop, Texas where he graduated in 1990 from Bastrop High School.
While in school, Ben loved sports, participating in baseball, football, and powerlifting, competing at the state level in his Junior year. He was chosen for the Baptist State Choir two years in a row and attended Howard Payne University on a music scholarship. He soon found out that even though he loved singing, computers were his passion and used his talents as an IT technician at various places like Dell, EMD and Lutheran Social Services.
One of Ben's passions was military and while he was not able to enlist, he did join the Bastrop Sheriff's Office as a deputy for a few years.
Presently Ben was working on a career change by attending Capital City Trade and Technical School in their CAD program and was loving the new career direction he was taking.
Ben's love of life was evident in the wonderful stories told by his lifelong friends and family as we reminisced about his short life. He was an adventurer and risk taker, but cherished his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.
