Quinton Fritz Geltmeier passed away October 29, 2013 at the age of 79. He was born on November 21, 1933 in Malone, Texas to Reinhard Geltmeier and Ella Mae Piel Geltmeier.
He worked as a furniture designer and upholster with Swiftex Inc before retiring of 37 years. He was one of the founding charter members of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bastrop, Texas. He was in the US Navy and was proud to serve his country.
He was truly a wonderful, kind and loving dad. He was a little league coach for his sons, enjoyed playing fast pitch softball and driving fast cars. He would always say, “Hello Charlie!” to all his children’s friends and between three there were a lot of Charlies! He had a kinder heart and soul!
Quinton leaves behind his loving wife of almost 37 years, Jessie; son Randy Dale Geltmeier and wife Beverly, son Keith Wayne Geltmeier, and daughter Deena Marie Geltmeier Zimmerhanzel and husband, A.J., and sister, Mildred Young; step-son Allen Harmon and wife Pam; step-son Larry Harmon and has 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed the time he spent with each of them. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother Robert Dee Geltmeier.
Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Eskew, Benton Eskew, Bradley Geltmeier, Matthew Henderson, Michael Kresge and Warren Weber. Honorary pallbearers are Ronald Landrum, John Schuelke and Steve Weber.

He will be missed so much, however, is with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and will see you again one day. I love you Daddio!
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, from 6-8pm at the Bastrop Providence Funeral Home and funeral will be on Saturday, November 2, at 10am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bastrop. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
