Joann Louise Sims

JoAnn Louise Sims Rosary will be held at 7:30 P.M., Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tyler , TX for JoAnn Louise Sims, age 79 of Tyler with Father Braun officiating. Boren-Conner Funeral Home of Bullard is in charge of arrangements. JoAnn was born April 10, 1934, in Red Rock, Texas to Peter and Agnes Boer Bartsch. She had resided in Tyler for many years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception and Prince of Peace Catholic Churches. JoAnn died on May 13, 2013 at a Tyler hospital with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lioba Bartsch Veronica Kruger and Bess Mae Quinn and a brother, Stanley Bartsch. JoAnn is survived by her husband Herbert Sims of Tyler . They were married on February 6, 1954 in Rockne , Texas . She is also survived by two daughters and a son-in -law, Jan and Karl Branam of Noonday and Denise Sims of Tyler, a brother Marvin Bartsch of Red Rock and many nieces, nephews and cousins. There will also be a Rosary service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rockne on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at 7:00 P.M. with Mass to be held on Friday, May 17, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rockne under the direction of Bastrop Providence Funeral Home. Family and Friends will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association or to the Charity of your choice.
